Getting older is hard to cope with. You can never go backwards, only forwards. Nostalgia stings, and regrets accumulate. It would be nice to wake up and be young again; Living in a world where adults are authority figures, life is on rails, and everything can wait.

Living in the present is clearly the way to go, but I am so bored and understimulated.

Talking to people is great, adds some much needed colour, for sure.

Perhaps the grave mindset is a sign of burnout? Hard to accept burning out as someone who isn't career-minded anymore. Or as someone who is a child at heart.

Another thing is missing when everything was new to you. Then over time, nothing becomes surprising.

Hopefully this can all be undone. Stubbornness makes giving up a non-option.

Social pressures as a teen, whatever your family's circumstances, hormones kicking in. Being a teenager is definitely not a time to romanticize much. Life before 13-14 was much more ideal to me.

Never really thought about marking art with that purpose. Usually I make art to amuse myself, regardless of how half-baked the attempt is. But as a tool of brightening the world, might be a good idea.
