Good day, and welcome to Bus Stop - a small talk message board. Registration is not required and each post remains on the site for only a day, after which, it disappears.

If you find this place empty, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's completely abandoned. Feel free to make a post to start a discussion, perhaps someone will see it and reply!

Bus Stop is intended to be a stress free environment for talking with strangers. Try to keep a relaxed demeanor when posting, please don't say anything that might ruin the other person's day.
I hope we meet again.

Bus Stop uses an extended version of WakabaMark markup code for post formatting.
The basic features are as follows:
  • Surround text with * or _ to make it italic. _Like this_ or *like this*.
  • Surround text with ** or __ to make it bold.
  • Surround text with %% to make a spoiler
  • Make an unordered HTML list by beginning each line with *, or -. You can add line breaks in list entries by breaking the line and indenting the next line with one or more spaces.
  • Make ordered HTML lists by beginning the first line with "1."
  • Make quote sections by beginning each line with ">". Highlighting text and then clicking the post number will quote the selected text.
  • Make code sections by indenting each line by four spaces or one tab. Code sections get shown in a monospaced font, and are not otherwise formatted.
  • Make external links by just typing the URL you want to link to. Post references like >>0 can be created by clicking the post's number and are automatically turned into links. You can link posts from other boards like this >>>/test/#0. The first youtube link in the post gets embedded, unless the post has a file attachment.
If you want to make a large post with complex formatting you can test if everything looks right here.

Please fill in the subject field with a clearly defined topic when appropriate. This not only enables browsing the site like a regular message board by filtering posts with the same subject but also serves another purpose. Subjects have a longer lifespan than posts; this means that even when a subject's thread is empty, it remains in the list for several days since the last post. In the event that this board is empty, it should help a new user or someone who hasn't visited the site for a long time understand what kind of things were being discussed recently.
The board's look can be customized from the options menu, which is accessible by clicking [+] in the bottom right corner of the sidebar. Available options are as follows:
  • [theme]: switches the visual style of the site.
  • [Mona]: enables the Mona font. If your browser has problems with rendering it, turn it off to use a system font.
  • [⟳]: enables auto reloading of the page each 90 seconds.
  • [?]: controls visibility of the info post.
Options are stored in your browser's cookies, be sure to enable them, if you want to save your settings.

college relationships seem intense by the nature of people living in each others pockets, but they fade equally quickly when 'the band splits up' as you have found. they've moved on, now it's your turn...

I regret jacking off in front of my roomie.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, after college everyone will go their seperate ways and you'll probably never see most of them again. Then once you get a job you'll be lucky to see the people from your old life a handful of times per year at most. So yea, if you don't really enjoy being around them much anymore I wouldn't force it, you'll all drift apart soon anyway after graduation.

This is the age where it's pretty normal to lose friends to physical distance and an imbalance of give and take.

Getting older is hard to cope with. You can never go backwards, only forwards. Nostalgia stings, and regrets accumulate. It would be nice to wake up and be young again; Living in a world where adults are authority figures, life is on rails, and everything can wait.

Living in the present is clearly the way to go, but I am so bored and understimulated.

but I am so bored and understimulated,

So relatable, this is how I am the most of my life. I barely get any joy from anything and I'm constantly bored. One of the not-so-many things I enjoy is talking to people

Talking to people is great, adds some much needed colour, for sure.

Perhaps the grave mindset is a sign of burnout? Hard to accept burning out as someone who isn't career-minded anymore. Or as someone who is a child at heart.

Another thing is missing when everything was new to you. Then over time, nothing becomes surprising.

Hopefully this can all be undone. Stubbornness makes giving up a non-option.

I can't really say that I'm burnt out, ever since I became a teenager things were much more mentally exhausting to me, I think the environment's holding a pretty heavy effect on me too but nothing I can really change here.

I found making art a greatly good way to cope with the most of the things that bother me. I wish I could inspire more people, the thought of cheering someone's day up with something I made just makes it feel like living is actually worth it sometimes

Social pressures as a teen, whatever your family's circumstances, hormones kicking in. Being a teenager is definitely not a time to romanticize much. Life before 13-14 was much more ideal to me.

cheering someone's day up with something I made

Never really thought about marking art with that purpose. Usually I make art to amuse myself, regardless of how half-baked the attempt is. But as a tool of brightening the world, might be a good idea.

Is it weird to wish I didn't have to "deal with" having friends?

Yes, but only because it's so easy to discard them. All you have to do is stop answering texts or social media and you're done with them.

Life before 13-14 was much more ideal to me

It's kind of sad to realize that I don't have a period in my life that I genuinely enjoyed, of course there always are good portions of life, but my whole adolescence seems to be full of shit, just in different ratios. I also seem to be irretrievably forget my childhood, I think I barely remember anything to the age of 8.

Kind of the same for me actually, most of the stuff I'd make would be in the first place just for me. I just know for sure there would be at least one person that would enjoy my stuff and whenever anybody really does enjoy it, it works as a really nice bonus for me.
